Prefer to stay in Puracé hamlet? You can still climb Puracé Volcáno in one day. Señor Marino Garcés can load you and your friends up in his four-wheel-drive Nissan and guide you to the top and back. He can also take you to visit Termales San Juan. For either excursion he charges a flat rate of $37 for up to eight persons. Bring along your own food and drink (if going to San Juan, you can eat there). For the Volcáno trek, remember to also have warm clothing, hat, gloves, good shoes or boots and raingear.
