The Churches of Pasto - Historical Building Pasto - Colombia

Some stunning temples have been bestowed upon Pasto during its nearly 500 years of existence. Some of the most noteworthy are:

Catedral (Calle 17 and Carrera 26) — A red-brick building of simple, classic Roman basilica design. Two Art Deco angels hold the baptismal font.

San Juan Bautista (Calle 18 and Carrera 25) — The city’s original cathedral, in an amazing Mozarabic style.

La Merced (Calle 18 and Carrera 22) — A spiral staircase without a central axis pole.

Cristo Rey (Calle 20 and Carrera 24) — Stunning neo-Early Gothic architecture.

Lourdes (Calle 13 and Carrera 28) — A typical Latin American parish church.
