For the number of things to do in and around Pasto, there are surprisingly few tour operators. As in other parts of Southern Colombia, most agencies are devoted only to the booking of air flights. A few officially registered guides can take you to tour Sandoná and other small villages to visit around the base of Volcán Galeras, or to hike and bird watch in Reserva Natural Biotopo Selva Húmeda, Laguna La Cocha and Isla de la Carota, and Volcán Azufral and Laguna Verde.
