Traveling west of Popayán, you enter the Circuito del Maíz, or the Corn Circuit, a gastronomic tour of the region. Sample homemade arepas, tamales, sweets, chicha and other typical foods made from Zea in the villages of El Charco, Santa Ana and Cajete. You then end your journey at the Balneario La Lajita, or the La Lajita Spa, to take a dip in the refreshing Quebrada (creek) La Lajita. For more information, visit the tourism office in Popayán.
