Catedral Basílica Nuestra Señora de la Asunción (Calle 5, between Carreras 6 and 7, Parque Caldas)
La Encarnación (Calle 5 and Carrera 5)--This once-cloister temple was designed by Jesuit Simon Schenherr, who had designed many South American churches.
San José (Calle 5 and Carrera 8)--Another church Simon Schenherr creation.
La Ermita (Calle 5, between Carreras 2 and 3)
Belén (up hill at the end of Calle 4)--The home of the Ecce Homo Christ statue affords great views over the city.
El Carmen (Calle 4, between Carreras 3 and 4)
Santo Domingo (Calle 4 and Carrera 5)--The exterior is a good example of rococo Andalusian architecture.
San Francisco (Calle 4 and Carrera 9)
San Agustín (Calle 7 and Carrera 6)--In a side chapel is an impressive statue of Christ kneeling upon a silver globe. The altar screen is is repousséed silver, and its Virgen Dolorosa is adorned in silver.
