You know, once the sun begins to shine in San Agustín, it gets down right hot. The perfect way to cool down after visiting the Parque Arqueológico or doing the El Tablón-to-El Purutal circuit is to swing by the Piscina Municipal Las Moyas. A more-than-Olympic-sized swimming pool full of cool, fresh spring water awaits your laps. There’s even a slide to sweep you off your tired feet. After drying off, shoot a few games of the other pool (that is, billiards) in the ranchito.

Getting There
Head out of town on Calle 5; the marked turn-off for the pool is 400 meters (1300 feet) along the road to the Parque Arqueológico; the piscina is a further 100 meters (320 feet) up the side road. You can also take a buseta from Parque Bolívar ($0.50) to

Travel Tips: There are no life guards or lockers. The pool is extremely popular on weekends and holidays.
