World Heritage Travel Office is San Agustín’s oldest tour operator, partly owned and operated by the town’s former tourism officer. It is a good alternative for receiving information about the attractions in the region. World Heritage offers everything from hikes or horseback riding to the near-by sites to rafting the Río Magdalena. The all-day jeep trip is popular, taking in the Narrows of the Magdalena River, Obando, Alto de los Ídolos, Alto de las Piedras and several waterfalls for $13.00, including driver and transportation, but not lunch, entry fees or guide. Multi-lingual guides are available.
