Page Importance:
La Portada is a newly opened 11-room hostel. Rooms are spacious and have two beds with thick mattresses and fantastic views of the mountains. There are five rooms with private baths and six with a shared bath down the hall. The owners, Leonardo and Maria Eva, are great and will happily answer any questions you may have about the area. Inquire at the restaurant across the street if there's no one around. The same owners have a restaurant across the street with excellent, reasonably priced meals–also the only one that seems to be open all the time. The hostel is only 150 meters (492 ft) from a 400-year-old church with a thatched roof.
