Tourism Office
In the Parque Arqueológico part of Tierradentro, a shop offers Información Turística Regional (daily, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Green house with the orange door, across from Hospedaje Ricabet). This store sells locally produced bags, necklaces and other items, and has a restaurant.
Money
In neither Tierradentro nor San Andrés de Pisimbalá are there places to change cash or travelers cheques, nor banks nor money wiring services.
Keeping in Touch
As in many villages in this "Land Within," the colegio (high school) has internet for several hours per day, Monday to Friday, with priority given to students. Many shops in both the Parque Arqueológico and San Andrés village have phone service, charging $0.10 per minute; look for the Minutos sign. Neither section of Tierradentro has a post office.
Medical
The local medical clinic is the Puesto de Salud San Andrés at the entry of San Andrés village (Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-noon, 2-6 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.-noon. Tel: 314-662-4446, 311-644-9071).
