The sweet smell of baklava lingers in this bright little café from noontime until closing. On display in glass cases are various Middle Eastern desserts, but La Dulcería (“The Sweet Shop”) doesn't just bake its own sweets, as the name might imply. Maybe sweet pastries are their specialty, but one look at their 10-page menu will quickly put your appetite to rest. Reasonably priced appetizers, soups, empanadas, and salads can be made to order. Alternatively just sit down for a while in or outside their brightly lit store and have some tea, coffee, or juice — whatever your little belly desires.
