Café del Mar is far more than just a restaurant and bar by the sea. It’s one of the few long-standing night spots that continues to be a popular place to enjoy the sunset, meet new people, and party on the weekends. Nobody really comes here for the food. In fact, they don’t really come here for the pricey drinks either. Conveniently located on Baluarte de Santo Domingo, people come for the great outdoor atmosphere, the infectious house music, lovely evening scenery, and the happy-go-lucky crowd. Sometimes, especially on the weekends, this place gets so packed that guests spill out into the street below, but even on quieter nights Café del Mar is a great place to unwind.

Cafe del Mar sucks

CAFE DEL MAR: the place is beautiful! the service, THE WORSE I'VE SEEN IN MY LIFE! The place offers a great ocean view and the old town, however, they are not capable of serving all the tables they have. I was there with a small group of four friends and we ordered our food and waited for two hours and the food never came, only the drinks!! Food was simple, prawn cocktails and stuff and it never arrived. We requested to speak with the manager, but he never came.! Worth knowing the place, but only to order drinks. I would never go again and would never recomend the place to anyone!

Atmosphere

The location makes it unique although I would not like to see too many restaurants springing up on the walls of El Centro.
