Another sweet bakery competing with El Bistro down the street is Mila, where pastry chef and cook Camila Andrea Vargas bakes up some delightful breads and French pastries. There is a dessert that has a chocolate chip bigger than the brownie on which it sits. Local treats like churros are also available by the stick. The atmosphere feels very French café, with bakery items on display in a shiny glass case, and above the fresh bread along the wall hangs an enormous chalkboard with soup, salad, sandwich, wrap, and drink descriptions. This great place for a light lunch or mid-day snack.
