Gabriel García Márquez’s house in San Diego has not been turned into a museum or tourist attraction. If it were, it would be one of the most popular sites in Cartagena. Still, the house that inspired the writing of one of his most famous novels, "Love in the Time of Cholera," still stands today and is located at the sharper corner of Calle del Curato and Baluarte de Santa Clara. From the 5th floor terrace of Hotel Santa Clara you can even get a peak of his old courtyard.
