La Fragata is a lively and resort-like hotel set among six distinct buildings. There are three cabana-style structures, the main reception hall with rooms on the second floor overlook the ocean, a six-story structure with more hotel-like accommodations, and finally a pool area and hut for relaxing by day. Having almost 100 guest rooms and styles to choose from is a bonus, but the rooms themselves are all a bit simple and in need of updating. However, La Fragata provides the best facilities in town: a protected beach with a bar built on stilts in the middle of it, shaded huts with hammocks, tables, and chairs, an enormous pool with a bar, and game room and lounge on the second floor of a large thatched hut. This is the best option for families and large groups.
