The nice Swiss owner who still keeps a watchful eye over Los Corales can tell you firsthand how much Coveñas has changed since his hotel opened 12 years ago. Back then, it offered just three guest rooms and basic accommodations. Now, this place has 27 guest rooms, public shower and bathroom facilities, and a fully functioning dining hall and restaurant on the beach. For half as much as you would pay at La Fragata or Villa Melissa, you get a nice, spacious, modern room with air conditioning or a fan. Los Corales is still expanding, and should have up to 40 rooms and more facilities by 2009.
