In Coveñas. you will have surprisingly more to worry about during the day here than at night. That is, if you spend your day on the beach. Hawkers selling everything from sunglasses, beaded necklaces and massages to wind chimes, fake idols, powdered medicine for your skin, ceviche or ice cream march back and forth along the beach begging you to buy something. It doesn’t get any better in the water, either. Boats circuit around offering to take you on a banana boat or tube ride, and men call for you from the beach to rent rafts, tubes, or other floating devices. Take this all with a grain of salt if you can. This is their livelihood here, so respectfully decline if you are not interested.
