A natural sea pool of crystalline waters has formed surrounded by rock and reef. Large and tranquil with warm waters, La Piscina is home to many species of colorful fishes that dart amongst the coral. Manta silently wing through the liquid blue, the white sand billowing beneath their forms. A sendero subacuático, or underwater trail takes you through the coral forests and meadows of marine grasses. Ah, what more perfect place is there to snorkel than here?

Getting There
La Piscina is a 15-minute walk beyond Arrecifes.

Travel Tips: Do not touch or step on the coral, as this will kill it. Pack all your trash out.

You Need to Bring: Bring water, snack, sunblock (or suntan lotion, depending on your preference), snorkeling and swim gear.

To See and Do: Hiking the trails at Nueve Piedras at Cañaveral, to El Pueblito ruins and from Calabozo to Cañaveral. Visiting Museo Chairama. Swimming at Playa Nudista beyond Cabo San Juan del Guía and at Bahía Concha and Bahía Neguanje. Special scuba and fishing excursions from Taganga or Santa Marta.
