V!VA User‘s Description
A high percentage of visitors to San Andrés will be staying in one of Decameron’s five massive hotels. Generally, the hotels sell all-inclusive packages (see the Decameron San Andrés package page) which allow you to dine and see shows at any of the five hotels, as long as you sleep at your own. It’s a good way to get to see several restaurants and shows.
There are other, non-Decameron hotels available, some of which are better (and pricier) than others. Basically, however, almost every price range (except perhaps for “penny-squeezing backpacker”) should be able to find a hotel to their liking.
The best hotels are on the coast and have private beaches. The cheapest ones are in the town of San Andres and do not have beaches.
