Crime is incredibly low on San Andres and rightly so. The occasional bag snatching is inevitable but hardly the norm in downtown San Andres but beyond that you should feel very at ease. You are advised not to take valuables to the beach and make full use of the safe in your hotel room. The scourge of violence that blights mainland Colombia is notably absent here.
