El Rodadero has a few museums of its own, focused of course on the natural and human history of the Caribbean Sea.

 

• Acuario y Museo del Mar del Rodadero—The first aquarium in South America with a museum recounting the sea-related history of Santa Marta (daily 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Ensenada Inca Inca, El Rodadero. Tel: 5-422-7222 / 2405, E-mail: acuariorodadero@gmail.com, URL: www.acuariorodadero.org. Entry: $8 adults, $4.75 children four-ten years old).

• Mundo Marino— 25 panoramic aquariums plus a marine tunnel displaying over 700 organisms of the region’s ecosystem; has feeding times of the fish, sea turtles and sharks (daily 8 a.m.-noon, 2-6 p.m. Carrera 2 11-68, El Rodadero. Tel: 5-422-9334, E-mail: mundomarino@utadeo.edu.co. Entry: $4.75 adults, $3.70 children two-twelve years old and senior citizens).
