Getting to and away

By Lorraine Caputo

Frequent buses leave from Santa Marta (every five minutes, 4:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m., $1.05, 30 minutes) and Barranquilla. If coming south from Valledupar or Aracataca, take a Barranquilla-bound bus and debark at Ciénaga.

To arrive at Aguas Termales de Ciénaga from Santa Marta, hop off at the Cordobita bridge. Near the gas station is the entrance to the hot springs.
