Artesan workshop
One of the members of the Asociación de Artesanos de Valledupar, the Ebratt family, has been creating for at least three generations. Son Ciro crafts Vallenato and other knickknacks. Another hijo paints the brilliant canvasses depicting the culture and life of this town. Doña Esperanza, the mother, gives new life to old treadle sewing machines and other discarded items, turning them into works of art. Father is a cabinetmaker. The family also carries Arhuaco hats and bags, chinchorros (hammocks) and other artesanía.
