In the past few years, Taganga has seen a boom in the construction of hotels. The majority cater to backpackers, though more mid-range options are coming on the scene. Camping is possible at Diana’s house (see Literar-té) or at Mónica la Argentina’s house, 150 meters (500 feet) past the shop El Esquinazo. Most places raise prices during the high season. At these times of the year, Taganga also becomes crowded and reservations are recommended. Water is scarce in Taganga; sometimes hostels will be without agua for a while. Do your part to help conserve this precious fluid.
