Spanish

If you can’t seem to pull yourself away from bucolic Taganga, spend a few hours a day boning up on Spanish. Finally, a Spanish school has opened up in this village, which allows foreign visitors to study the language while taking in the sand and sea. The teachers at Academia Latina are all Colombians and certified Spanish teachers. Part of the proceeds go to Foundation Más that works on local projects for poor children.

Traveler Reviews of Academia Latina

Volunteering

Rating: 100%

Excellent! I did some volunteering in Taganga, too. The Spanish school and foundation are a great compbination. I've been helping the poor a little bit during my travels, teaching and being taught. I tried to make a difference, though very modest. And you?

The free grammar list is very good idea. Everything was good. The laid-back athmosphere made learning fun. Loved the free coffee...

We had a great time at this school and we learned a lot. Our teachers, Carmen and Nestor, were really good and professional.
