If you're staying in Moyogalpa, you'll find internet cafes aplenty. Altagracia also has one or two. As for everywhere else on the island you have to either connect through your hotel or learn to live without. The Moyogalpa post office is located four blocks up from the dock and a half a block to the left. There's only one bank on the island, on Moyogalpa's main street. It has a Western Union and an ATM, but it's only compatible with Visa/Plus, so plan accordingly. A few places on the island take credit cards, but they pass on a whopping 10 percent service charge.
The main hospital is in Moyogalpa, four blocks up from dock and three and a half blocks to the right.
