There is one bank in Bahia Solano and it accepts Visa cards. It is located at the main crossroads, adjacently opposite from the DAS office.
Keeping in Touch
Only some cell phones receive signals here. Many kiosks and individuals will rent cell phones that charge by the minute. There is a Telecom office opposite the Hotel Bahía, internet access is possible here. Bahía Solano suffers from energy shortages, so often the internet is not running.
Medical
Get all your vaccinations before going. There is a clinic in Bahía Solano, but for any emergencies go to Medellín.
Shopping
Your shopping opportunities are limited to a few places off the main strip, which sell gaudy T-shirts and sandals.
