Subida del Puente del Morro, fifth from the bridge on the left side of the road
Tumaco, Colombia
Bar
When asked, SENA student guides Deysy and Claudia were unananymous in the happening place for a rumba: Punto Baré. The party begins at 7 p.m. and goes on until 3 a.m. to the beat of salsa, with a bit of merengue and reggaeton thrown into the mix. So hit that huge dance floor and sway under the pulsating lights. Siddle up to the long bar for a drink--but if you're looking for something non-alcoholic, you're going to be out of luck. There is no door charge, but there is a steep minimum consumption of $11. Claudia and Deysy warn it's elegant--so, men, no shorts.
