By Lorraine Caputo

Many moons ago, doña Conchita opened up one of the very first inns in Cabo de la Vela—and it is still known as it has been all this time: Donde Conchita. She is a bit of a legend, known to spend evenings teaching the legends and ways of her people. In rustic cabañas, her guests sleep in hammock or chinchorro. The clean common baths are out back. The lodge is more isolated and closer to the many natural wonders of this land, making it a perfect choice for those who wish to spend time meditating and hiking. Service is only when doña Conchita is here, so call or write beforehand.
