Travel Tips Types:
Climate, peak seasons

By Lorraine Caputo

The hottest months in Cabo de la Vela are September to November, with cooling winds in also-toasty January and February. The wet season is from June to August.

Cabo de la Vela is a popular vacation destination. Colombians warn that if you want the tranquility Cabo de la Vela has to offer, do not come at these times, especially December-January holidays and Semana Santa. The beach is wall-to-wall campers with loud music until after dawn; everyone then goes sleeps until mid-morning and then the party resumes.
