Next to Restaurant y Hospedaje Miramar 2, Donde Rosita Sánchez is a community shop specializing in artesanía. The small front entry patio is hung with a wide assortment of the bags for which the Wayuu are famous and chincorros. On the racks inside is a selection of wayuusheein, or the typical manta dresses of the women, some with traditional designs and others hand-painted. Shelves hold baskets of time-honored medicinal herbs. For a mere $2.65 you can have your photo taken dressed in a wayuusheein and your face painted with Wayuu designs.
