Restaurants in Mompós are straightforward and offer Creole meals as well as standard regional fare. If you are looking for salads and light foods you will be found wanting. Most dishes consist of chicken or beef, though one place does offer crepes! If you are looking for more unusual foods then Mompós might be your ideal destination, as the locals here eat just about everything from turtles (Galapagos/ icotea), peccary (ponche/chiguiro) and the occasional iguana.
There are some decent bars along the riverfront on the Alberrada that blast out different genres of music alongside one another. The pick of the bunch and the most historic is the Luna de Mompox.
