El Almejal Beach - Beach El Valle - Colombia

One of Colombia’s most spectacular beaches is El Almejal. The beach stretches two kilometers (1.2 mi) and ends dramatically as the ocean’s fury makes a meal of the surrounding rocks. Here, you have nature in all its glory, along with the opportunity to surf, swim or just relax in the shallow waters.

El Almejal may also be a good indication of future development. In recent years, diggers and trucks have trundled along the beach collecting rocks and sand for nearby resorts.
