There are no obvious attractions in Quibdó but it does make for an interesting couple of days should you really wish to get off the beaten track. If and when the security situation ameliorates then Quibdo will place more emphasis on tourism but until that time, it is a place to mix it up with the locals, stroll along the river front, and spend time at the market.
Atrato River – This vast river that flows alongside Quibdó runs a further 750km north to the Gulf of Uraba.
The San Francisco de Asis Cathedral – spend some time marvelling at the enormity of this riverside cathedral.
El Puerto – watch the boats coming and going from the port and bringing in goods.
