If you have a couple of hours to spare in Honda then take a stroll through the "City of Bridges", so called due to the fact that it has 29 bridges spanning the river Magdalena. For insight and understanding into the expansion of Colombia, Honda is a good place to start since pretty much all travel here in the early years of the conquest running all the way into the Republican era came through Honda via the River Magdalena. Honda, sometimes referred to as the "Cartagena of the Interior," due to its colonial buildings and narrow alleys, has a few buildings of note, but not enough to keep you here longer than a few hours.
