Safety in Neiva
Neiva itself is safe and there really is no feeling of personal danger or aggression against tourists. It is worth noting, however, that in 2007 two car bombs were placed, possibly by the FARC, in an attempt on the then-Mayor’s life. One bomb was deactivated and the other detonated causing a great deal of damage.
