When to Go

December to March are the driest months around Upper Magdalena. However, it is in your best interest to keep a rain jacket and umbrella handy throughout the year. Consider timing your trip to coincide with local festivals, such as Honda’s Festival de la Subienda in February, or Neiva’s Reinado del Bambuco and Ibagué’s Folkloric Festival, which both take place in June.
