As a tourist and business destination Medellin has a great variety of accommodation options. There are cheap backpacker digs in desirable areas of town close to nightlife activities and equipped to provide the traveler with an appropriate place in which he or she can sleep off a hangover. Business options abound in El Poblado and the barrio of Laureles, making the decision of where to stay a difficult one. Mid-range hotels can be found in converted townhouses should you wish to vary from the norm somewhat.
