La Ermita - Other Activity Cali - Colombia

Its original name was “Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Soledad del RĂo,” and in the early 1600s, it was a small Baroque chapel. In 1787, it was destroyed. Today La Ermita stands as a very different yet gorgeous gothic structure, built in 1942 and modeled after the cathedral in Cologne, Germany. The attention to detail and its curious pale blue and white color makes La Ermita a city symbol and it is certainly the most photographed church in all of Cali.
