There is a helpful tourist information office in the bus terminal on the ground floor. For more detailed information, go to the Centro Cultural de Cali (Ca. 6 and Cra. 5. Tel: 885-8855, ext. 122, E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org, URL: www.caliturismo.com).
Banks and cash machines are prevalent in the city. On Avenida Sexta, as well as in the Plaza de Caizedo and downtown, you can easily find all the major banks.
Keeping in Touch
While in Cali, you won’t ever be more than a few blocks from an Internet café or telephone call center. Avenida Sexta has them by the dozen, with Cyberphone Club (Av. 6N, 4-52, San Fernando. Tel: 514-6563) being a recommended choice. Correos de Colombia (Av. 6N, 30-21) will assist with all postal needs.
In the case of a medical emergency, ClĂnica FundaciĂłn Valle de Lili (Cra. 98, 18-49. Tel: 331-7474/9090), ClĂnica de Occidente (Ca. 18N, 5N-34. Tel: 660-3000) and Hospital Universitario del Valle (Ca. 6, 36-08. Tel: 558-6355) all provide adequate care.
Laundry places are common so there should be at least one near any accommodation. Some hostels also offer on-site laundry services.
Should you encounter any camera troubles, Edicameras (Av. 6N, 30-11. Tel: 558- 3893) or Tecno Cameras (Av. 6N, 24-84, opposite the Biblioteca Departamental) should be able to help out.
