On April 9, 1918, construction of this beautiful yellow theater began. Ten years later it was completed, with remodeling performed in the 1950’s. Modeled like an Italian opera theater, this neoclassical theater holds up to 1,200 people in its stylish and elaborate European-like interior. It was declared a national monument in June 2002. The ticket office is open in the afternoons, but even if it’s not, the security guard can give you free tickets to private performances if you ask or let you in to take a look at the stage when there aren’t rehearsals.
