Catching a Futbol game in any city in Colombia is nothing short of a religious experience. The hordes come to their cathedral to spit venom and utter furious chants at the opposition, while heaping praise on their team. Cali has two teams that call the Estadio Pascual Guerrero home. America de Cali (red) and Deportivo Cali (green) have their tribes of supporters...for your safety do not get the two confused! Perhaps the most extreme futbol experience you could have in Cali is to go to a local derby between the two bitter city rivals. You would be advised to go with someone who knows his way about, as for these games the stadium packs out with more than 40,000 fans.

Getting There
Take any bus that runs down the Calle 5. Get off when you see the flags in front of the stadium.

Travel Tips: If you are planning on seeing a match between Deportivo Cali and America de Cali then go along with a local who knows the ropes. Otherwise most games should be fairly straightforward. Take only the cash that you need to get into the stadium and enough to get home and possibly buy tickets out of the more vociferous areas of the stands.
