Should you tire of dancing salsa in Cali, there are many options including outdoors activities that you would expect if visiting Lake Calima or any of the national parks in the department. Given the region’s geography, which includes plains, mountains, cloud forest, jungle and coast, there are a great deal of attractions in this south-western Colombian department. In Cali there is the un-missable feria in December if you happen to be in Colombia, and for those who were unable to snap photos of wildlife while out and about, there is the very highly recommended Cali Zoo. Tourists are advised to indulge their curiosity in Valle del Cauca by exploring every small town, where religious relics and pre-Colombian settlements lurk around every corner. And don’t forget to head to Buenaventura to see the migrating humpback whales.
