Getting Around

With the opening of Armenia’s pedestrian mall running through the center of the city, getting around by foot is the best option. Yellow taxis buzz around town at all hours, though, if you’d rather not walk (minimum price during the day is $1.50, night $2.50). Red “Tinto” buses run along Armenia’s main thoroughfares for $0.75 per ride, and are the best way to get to the Museo del Oro Quimbaya in the north of the city.
