Getting to and away from Armenia

The city of Armenia is conveniently situated between many of Colombia's largest cities. Bogotá and Medellín are just six hours away by bus. Cali and Ibagué are three hours away, and Pereira and Manizales are one and two hours away respectively. Getting to and away from Armenia by bus is the easiest and safest option. The city's secure, and modern bus terminal is located at the southern edge of the city, a short five minute taxi ride ($1.50) from Plaza Bolívar, the city's center. Walking from the terminal to Plaza Bolívar is not advised. You can take any local bus from the terminal to "Centro" ($0.75), which will pass through the center on its route around the city. There is very little reason to fly here. If you do decide to fly, the Pereira airport services Armenia by airport shuttle every hour.
