By Brenda Yun

This upscale hotel is a great option for travelers with a heavier wallet. Several uniformed concierge, doormen, and maids roam about all day making sure guests feel at home. With about 60 rooms with all major amenities as well as a parking lot for guests, this conveniently located hotel (just one block from Plaza Bolívar and outgoing local buses) will satisfy even the fussiest customers. Restaurante Los Vitrales on the third floor is set in a pleasant, colorful courtyard. The menu is the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner (appetizers $3, mains $15), but the food is meticulously prepared.

$60 single, $80 double, $90 triple
