A small yet informative tourist office is located on the Plaza Bolívar by La Basilica. Here, you can pick up a map and other pertinent information about the city and activities to do during your stay. The area around the Plaza is also considered the commercial center of the city, so it is the best place to find ATM’s, cheap internet and postal services. Hospitals and universities, however, are located outside of the historical center along Avenida Santander on the way to the Zona Rosa, so head to that direction if you are looking for pharmacies, laundry services and grocery stores.
