If you're looking for a hearty meal at a reasonable price, Don Juaco will deliver. This is a great little find with warm and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Traditional dishes are prepared on clean brown plates with generous portions. Main plates (like the lasagna and cazuela) are served in clay bowls with plenty of melted cheese on top. Complete meals come with salad, French fries, and half a canned peach. An authentic local entrada is the “mazamorra con panela” ($3), which is a corn and milk soup with a caramel cookie on the side.
