There are very few mid-range hotels in Manizales. Most are either expensive or cheap. The best hotels are located within two blocks of Plaza Bolívar. The cheap hotels are down the hill a few more blocks along the new tunnel for the city (which is currently undergoing major renovation and construction). The other option is to stay in the newer part of the city near the Zona Rosa, which is 10 minutes away by bus along Avenida Santander. Accommodations in this part of town are more modern and quiet. They are also closer to Manizales' nightlife, the stadium and the main shopping malls.
