The information office at the Mirador has useful information about things to see and do around Salento. There is an ATM in the main square on Carrera 7 in the yellow and blue building. There is no sign for the ATM, so you have to look for it or just ask. Sometimes the machine is out of money, so be sure to stock up on cash in Pereira or Armenia before coming. Some restaurants and stores accept Visa and MasterCard, but most of the hotels in town do not. There are two decent internet cafés on Carrera 6 that charge $1 per hour. The hospital is at the corner of Carrera 7 and Calle 7. There is no laundry service in town.
