Restaurant Summary

All of Salento’s restaurants are located around the plaza and along Carrera 6. There are enough restaurants to last you a week without overlapping, and most serve up the same dishes so it’s a good idea to ask the locals which are popular. The specialty here is trout with patacón. The trout here is really fresh, prepared in eight different ways, and served with a very large “patacón” (thin plantain chip). A few typical bandeja or paisa dishes are also common on the menu.
